VINTAGE CEILING LAMP, LYFA BENT KARLBY 1950s

A cheerful ceiling light designed by Bent Karlby for Lyfa in the late 1950s. It's a medium-to-large pendant lamp featuring an inner core of opaline glass topped with an outer red metal shade that rests on the opal glass. The shade is fitted with narrow perforated slits that let warm, diffused light escape sideways, creating a lovely ambient glow. A perfect piece if you're looking to bring a splash of color into your home.
