Korean soban, more specifically Naju soban. The small table is called "soban", a daily dining table widely used during the Joseon era. This small portable table serves as both a tray and a table. It was especially practical for Korea's sitting culture, as well as for traditional houses, in which the rooms and the kitchen were far apart. To make it easier for women to carry things from the kitchen to the dining room, a soban was as narrow as a woman's shoulders and made with lightweight wood such as ginkgo or zelkova.
This style comes from the Naju area, in Jeolla Province.
Vintage item: this piece is vintage and pre-owned. It has had a previous life and may show light signs of age and use, which are part of its charm.
